Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid PA driver’s license.
Ability to pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
PA DEP Class B Water Treatment Operator License with required subclasses within 48 months
Maintain laboratory accreditation status.
Ability to use computers/tablets and follow written and verbal instructions.
Able to lift 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Prior water industry experience.
College coursework in chemistry, biology, or environmental science.
Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor treatment plant systems, including startup, shutdown, and routine checks.
Adjust pumps, chemical feeders, and control systems to maintain water quality.
Collect and analyze water samples, perform laboratory tests, and record results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in accordance with standard laboratory practices
Maintain accurate records of chemical dosages, flows, pressures, and water quality indicators.
Perform corrective maintenance on plant equipment and routine facility upkeep.
Load/unload treatment chemicals and operate sludge press equipment.
Respond to alarms, unusual conditions, and emergencies; communicate effectively with team and management.
Utilize SCADA and other company software for plant operations and security.
Participate in training and cross-training programs.
All work to be performed in accordance with company safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
