Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid PA driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
  • PA DEP Class B Water Treatment Operator License with required subclasses within 48 months
  • Maintain laboratory accreditation status.
  • Ability to use computers/tablets and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior water industry experience.
  • College coursework in chemistry, biology, or environmental science.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor treatment plant systems, including startup, shutdown, and routine checks.
  • Adjust pumps, chemical feeders, and control systems to maintain water quality.
  • Collect and analyze water samples, perform laboratory tests, and record results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in accordance with standard laboratory practices
  • Maintain accurate records of chemical dosages, flows, pressures, and water quality indicators.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on plant equipment and routine facility upkeep.
  • Load/unload treatment chemicals and operate sludge press equipment.
  • Respond to alarms, unusual conditions, and emergencies; communicate effectively with team and management.
  • Utilize SCADA and other company software for plant operations and security.
  • Participate in training and cross-training programs.
  • All work to be performed in accordance with company safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
