About The Position

This role supports daily location operations efficiently and safely, maintaining equipment and facilities for the benefit of IAS and its member-owners. The primary objective is to ensure the smooth functioning of the facility and its associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL or ability to obtain one, and/or utilization of a seasonal CDL during peak business needs.
  • Mechanical aptitude including a basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulics, and piping systems.
  • Knowledge of various machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • High level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate information or ideas effectively in written or oral form.
  • Ability to organize, deal with change effectively, and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Possess math skills for performing basic operations.
  • Obtain Commercial Applicator Core Licensing with categories 1A, 1B, 1C, 7C.
  • Assist with LP delivery during the busy season.

Responsibilities

  • Report to assigned workplace at the specified time and notify supervisor of any late arrivals or absences prior to the start time.
  • Maintain required licenses, physicals, and other necessary documentation to perform job requirements.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Manage and maintain the Chemical Shed, including record-keeping for tier 11 reporting.
  • Fill shuttles and NH3 nurse tanks.
  • Assist with the distribution of farm supply products and grain operations when assigned.
  • Notify management of needed shop tools, supplies, or replacement parts.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and warehouse areas.
  • Participate in safety and job-related training programs.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and conduct.
  • Create a positive, professional image to customers and the community.
  • Accept and carry out other assigned duties given by the location manager.
  • Occasionally report to and work for another IAS location as needed to support ongoing business needs and serve customers.
