About The Position

The Facility Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of plant personnel and operations, such as operation of distillation equipment, product mixing/blending, sampling/loading/offloading tanker trucks and rail cars. This role ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times. The supervisor performs multiple site-specific plant operations, including drum pumping, tank transfers, tanker truck and rail car sampling/offloading/loading in compliance with DOT requirements, operation of distillation equipment and scanning applications for waste tracking. They will supervise multiple Solvent Process Operators and Tanker Truck /Rail Car Loaders/Unloaders and plant operations, ensuring employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures and hold them accountable. The supervisor also ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards. This role works under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager or equivalent and is responsible for maintaining a clean work environment. Other duties and tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 1+ Years of related experience
  • Ability to use computer
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Fork lift experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business
