This role supports Workplace Design for a Federal Government contract. The Facility Operations Specialist will be responsible for resolving various facility-related issues, managing requests with the Building Management Office and Operations & Maintenance staff, and providing oversight for building repairs and custodial needs. The position also involves supporting relocation efforts, researching vendors, and managing service contracts. Additionally, the role includes monitoring the Service Desk Portal, inputting data into space management software, managing mail, and providing support for various office functions. The specialist will also escort GSA or GSA contractors for maintenance and repairs. Examples of work include supporting the design, reconfiguration, relocation, and resizing of office spaces, managing furniture and equipment, and working with Consolidated Furniture Management Services (CFMS). The role involves planning, programming, scheduling, and inspecting space management projects, developing reports, conducting site inspections, and assisting with furniture plans and specifications. Project management tools will be used to manage tasks, resources, schedules, budgets, and scope changes. The specialist will also develop project plans, Statements of Work (SOW), and cost estimations for various projects, manage logistics for renovations and installations, and develop feasibility studies and space forecasting. Experience with CAFM database management and producing reports for space utilization and property asset management is also a key aspect of the role.
