Student Worker - Facility Operations Assistant
About The Position
In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with functions specific to University buildings, grounds upkeep, repairs/maintenance, furniture/equipment, or sanitation. This role involves assisting with preventative maintenance and repairs for fitness equipment, vehicle management, and the general maintenance of Campus Recreation buildings and fields. The position requires adherence to safety procedures, potential assistance with inventory and record-keeping, and collaboration with other facilities staff to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities also include assisting with event setups/breakdowns, venue equipment troubleshooting, maintaining facility appearance, and supporting facility security. The role demands compliance with University policies and regular, punctual attendance.

Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative maintenance for all fitness equipment
- Assist with repairs for all fitness equipment
- Assist with vehicle management
- Assist with the maintenance of Campus Recreation buildings and fields
- Assist with maintenance, cleaning, or sanitation of University facilities
- Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed
- Assist with inventory functions in assigned area
- Assist with scheduling, coordinating and following up on needed repairs of equipment
- Participate with various projects, activities or tasks related to facility services
- Assist with keeping records of maintenance or inventory
- Partner closely with other facilities staff to ensure seemless facility operations
- Assist with setup and breakdown of meetings, events or other activities
- Assist with setup, testing or troubleshooting venue equipment
- Help maintain the internal and exterior appearance of a facility/building
- Assist with facility security such as securing doors, security cameras, badge/building access
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
