About The Position

TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Facility Operations Assistant to join their community at TerraBella Salem. This role is responsible for assisting with maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, guests, and team members. The assistant will perform routine maintenance duties to complete service requests for the repair and maintenance of grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment, and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner. This includes fixing wall and floor coverings, repairing furniture and fixtures, performing basic plumbing, minor electrical repairs, appliance repair, and painting/refurbishing projects. The role also assists in executing the preventative maintenance program and working on various systems including heating and air conditioning, domestic water, pumps, refrigeration, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators. Additionally, the assistant will perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance, deep cleaning, and prepare resident suites. They will also assist with fire safety and disaster preparedness evacuation procedures.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
One (1) year maintenance and/or housekeeping experience preferred.
Must have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment and possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.
Must possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
Must be able to handle multiple priorities and work independently.

Nice To Haves

Technical school education preferred.

Responsibilities

Performing carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.
Performing deep cleaning and resident suite ‘make ready’ rooms as assigned.
Assisting with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.
