The Facility Maintenance Worker I is expected to perform all duties to the best of their ability, act in a responsible manner at all times, demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and treat all staff and patrons with respect. This role requires maturity, reliability, and self-discipline. Must be thoroughly knowledgeable in the following areas: equipment maintenance, sanitation, conducting training, security, safety and accident prevention and customer relations.

- Maintaining cleanliness in the building and on the grounds.
- Helps with needed preventive maintenance.
- Helps to maintain equipment.
- Helps to complete minor repairs.
- Provides assistance to other departments, as needed.
- Helps with set-up for events and exhibits.
- Maintains standards for personnel performance and customer service.
