About The Position

Essential Functions Building Maintenance (Daily duties) Repair and replace doors, windows. Repair and replace floors; carpet, ceramic, and LVT tile. Repair and replace suspended ceiling tile and grid. Repair and replace drywall Paint/stain walls, ceiling, and trim. Make minor plumbing, electrical, and heating/AC repairs. Repair furniture Move equipment and furniture Other Duties Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and electronically, with supervisor, staff, faculty, students, and patrons. Responsible for safe operation of hand tools, equipment while performing various essential functions of the position. Hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, nut drivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, read tape measure. Power tools such as drills, drill drivers, and saws. Responsible for the safe operation of equipment while performing various essential functions of the position. Equipment such as: tractor/loader, tractor/blade, forklift, pickup with trailer, dump truck, skid loader and various attachments, wheel loader, zero turn mower. Must be able/licensed to operate College vehicles to transport equipment and materials to various work sites. Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED plus Two (2) years of work experience in building maintenance, OR AAS Degree in Building Construction or related field, plus one (1) year of work experience in building maintenance.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to qualify for auto insurance
