Facility Maintenance Technician
About The Position
If you are highly motivated and enjoy collaborating with others, consider joining U-Haul as a Facility Maintenance Technician. We're looking for a versatile, hands-on professional with a strong mix of technical and maintenance experience who can support both facility operations and technology systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting computer and security systems while also performing facility maintenance. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, is mechanically inclined, and is confident working with technology. Requirements
- Experience in any of the following areas: electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping
- Valid driver’s license
- D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across both maintenance and IT environment
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
- Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
- Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
- Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
- Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep track of company truck and gas card.
- Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
