Investigate, report, coordinate, and resolve maintenance and repair activities related to the DDS building facilities, grounds, and office furniture equipment. Monitors Facility email inbox and investigates facility issues reported by staff. Responsible for setting up furniture for various conference rooms, moving office furniture, cleaning offices, replenishes paper for all office copiers, collects documents for destruction, receives incoming shipments, prepares equipment to be sent to State Surplus for auction or discarding. Will assist in organizing and maintain Division’s warehouse space and will transport material to and from office location to the warehouse. Will be responsible to assist with clearing and treating parking lots and sidewalks from ice and snow and other debris. Two large office buildings totally over 66,000 square feet, both single-story. Majority of office space is filled with cubicles. There are limited number of walled offices on perimeter of buildings. The employee will be required to be on their feet 6-8 hours per day and carry 50-100 pounds frequently throughout the day. Employee will be working with contractors who perform maintenance and service for buildings and will need to be able to effectively communicate in real-time with those individuals to ensure safety of themselves, the contractors, and on-site staff and relay reason for the services to the contractor.
