Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be dependable and on time
- Own means of dependable transportation
- Provide some personal tools/list available on request
- 2 years minimum experience in a petro/chemical industry
- Must be able to work in adverse/inclement weather conditions
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot, then make a good decision to fix the problem
- Must be able to read a tape measure and work with precision measuring instruments
Nice To Haves
- Electricity skills are a PLUS.
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance/repairs/troubleshooting and installation on process plant equipment, including pumps, motors, gear drives, centrifuges and other rotating equipment with an emphasis on seals, bearings and mechanical seals.
- Performs maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on rotary screw air compressors.
- Removal and installation of process valves.
- Performs maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
- Metal fabrication skills are required.
- Proficient in the installation and fabrication of process piping systems, pertaining to threading, welding and soldering.
- Able to interpret P&ID drawings.
- When instructed - required to clean, paint and perform labor work.
- Additional work related to buildings and ground maintenance.
- Local travel required.
