About The Position
Maine Oxy is currently looking to fill a Facility Maintenance Technician position. This position will be responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance work at the facility and on facility equipment. This is a full-time year-round position with a great opportunity to grow if you are interested in the industry. This is a Monday-Friday 7 AM-4 PM shift with opportunities for voluntary overtime.
Requirements
- 1 year experience working in an industrial setting preferred
- Aptitude to operate and maintain pneumatic and mechanical equipment
- Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, and pallet jacks
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, and work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Safety must be first priority.
- Ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures and other company and industry documents.
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Ability to perform very heavy work—routinely lift 25lbs to 50lbs, and occasionally lift 51lbs to greater than 100lbs.
- Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1000 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees.
- Ability to smell/hear leaking gas from cylinders

Responsibilities
- Adhering to all Maine Oxy safety standards
- Maintaining a preventive and corrective maintenance program documentation
- Managing maintenance work areas for safety, health, and environmental compliance
- Managing orders and receipt of maintenance related tools and equipment
- Assist with snow removable and groundskeeping
