Facility Maintenance Technician- LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER BAY AREA
About The Position
Help Keep the Magic Running Behind the Scenes. Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys fixing, maintaining, and improving facilities? Do you take pride in creating safe, clean, and well-maintained environments for both guests and colleagues? We're looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining our attraction to the highest standards. From preventative maintenance and repairs to supporting new projects and ensuring compliance with safety standards, you'll help create exceptional guest experiences every day. This position is at the LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER BAY AREA. Attraction and retail store within the great mall in Milpitas. The ideal candidate must be available 40 hours per week and weekends (required).
Requirements
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, building services, or a related trade
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or general maintenance work
- Ability to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A positive, customer-focused attitude
- The ability to remain calm and professional in urgent situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work throughout the facility in both guest-facing and behind-the-scenes areas
- Ability to safely perform maintenance tasks using appropriate tools and equipment
Responsibilities
- Performing preventative maintenance and routine inspections across the site
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, fixtures, and facility systems
- Completing daily health & safety, fire safety, and maintenance checks
- Supporting electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks
- Assisting with the installation and maintenance of new equipment and attraction developments
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and organized manner
- Supporting opening and closing procedures for the attraction
- Contributing to annual maintenance planning and continuous site improvements
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with company policies and safety regulations
- Providing friendly and professional interactions with guests and team members
