Requirements

  • Education in a related field with at least four years of facility maintenance experience and two years in a leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong people leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team settings.
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or managers.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of general plumbing and electrical.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must complete record check and drug screening prior to employment.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, supervise, and carry out general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Work closely with and manage external third-party vendors and their contracts for facilities maintenance (e.g., lawn care, snow removal, custodial services).
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Ensure building equipment is maintained properly and functioning correctly.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and facility disruptions.
  • Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals.
  • Perform general repairs such as drywall, painting, doors, and other building fixtures.
  • Clean and assist with the upkeep of the facilities.
  • Ensure building systems (HVAC, Air Compressors, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are regularly inspected and maintained.
  • Order necessary supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance.
  • Document and log all repairs and materials used.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager - Growth or other delegates.
