Performs a variety of skilled technical trades work in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of recreational facilities. This role involves a wide range of maintenance and trades work including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, construction, flooring, painting, traffic signals, street signs, and pavement marking repair. The employee will perform routine inspections, respond to work orders, troubleshoot maintenance problems, perform necessary repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance. The position requires independence, initiative, and knowledge of trade practices. The work environment includes potential hazards such as working in extreme temperatures, high places, confined spaces, and exposure to hazards associated with equipment operation, electrical current, noise, dusts, fumes, gases, and oils. Compliance with OSHA standards for bloodborne pathogens is also required for work involving cleaning and plumbing. Work is performed under general supervision and is inspected for quality and adherence to standards.
