About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facility Maintenance Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. If selected you will establish and execute reliability strategies to ensure the facility operational readiness of critical NASA/JSC CTSD support systems. Apply mechanical engineering principles to design, test, and implement technical solutions for facility challenges, utilizing AutoCAD to produce compliant drawings. Coordinate with JSC Pressure Systems personnel to manage cooling tower, liquid nitrogen cryogenic tank farm, oil/chemical storage, vacuum pumps and high-pressure systems, including the preparation of required Work Authorizing Documents (WADs). You will be the primary engineer to continue and enhance maintenance plans systems including cooling tower, liquid nitrogen bulk storage cryogenic tanks, oil/chemical storage, vacuum mechanical pumps and blowers. Track systems health and coordinate periodic maintenance and systems functional checks. Develop technical specifications, Statements of Work (SOW), and cost estimates to track all phases of procurement, fabrication, and installation for facility upgrades and space simulations chambers. Work within a tight-knit team to manage maintenance schedules and project lifecycles while providing regular progress reports to senior engineering leadership. Express good leadership qualities, be highly motivated, well organized and ability to work independently. Perform other duties as required.
