About The Position

Responsible for reliable operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, improvement and project coordination of facility systems; ensure safe, compliant and efficient facility support to production.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • 3 years above experience in facility maintenance, utility systems, building maintenance or industrial maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Facility, Engineering or related field.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods.
  • Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded.
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions.
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software.
  • Mechanical/electrical fundamentals; HVAC; pumps/piping; compressed air; water/wastewater; facility systems.
  • Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, lubrication, inspection, emergency response.
  • Project coordination, shutdown planning, commissioning, contractor supervision and schedule tracking.
  • Self-driven able to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Be able to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • General Safety & OSHA Training – OSHA General Safety, Hazard Communication (HazCom), and basic Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) awareness.
  • PPE & Injury Prevention Training – Proper PPE use and cut-injury prevention.
  • Waste Handling Safety Training – Broken Glass Handling and Sharp Waste Disposal.
  • Emergency Response Training – Chemical Spill Response and Fire Extinguisher Use.
  • Equipment Safety Training – Forklift Training/Certification,Equipment Operation Training.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to facility equipment breakdowns and perform timely troubleshooting, corrective repairs and preventive maintenance for buildings, offices and facility support equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections, analyze equipment performance and service life, identify failure risks, and develop preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare spare-part specifications, analyze inventory levels, submit purchase requests, and recommend inventory optimization based on equipment needs.
  • Support equipment modifications, facility improvement projects, and track project progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage grounds, landscaping, snow removal, plant and office cleaning, pest control, waste management, and facility support services.
  • Maintain facility support equipment, including sweepers, floor scrubbers, golf carts, radios, drinking water equipment, ice makers, and other facility support items.
  • Maintain building interiors, loading docks, doors, locks, signage, fences, mirrors, bollards and other facility safety infrastructure.
  • Coordinate maintenance of elevators, cranes and hoists and provide civil/site support for sewer and lift-station work.
  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders, equipment documentation and KPI reports; analyze downtime and recommend improvements.
  • Translate and edit technical documents and provide bilingual communication support when required.
