About The Position

VP Racing Fuels is seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Crew Member at multiple levels (Crew I–IV) to join our high-performing team at our Elmendorf, Texas plant. This hands-on role is essential to the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of our top-tier racing fuels. As a Facility Maintenance Crew Member (Crew I–IV), you'll be a vital part of our operations, working across various skilled trades such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and welding/fabrication. From routine upkeep to troubleshooting and repairs, your efforts will help ensure our facility, equipment, and grounds run like a well-oiled machine. Depending on your skills and experience, you may be placed at a Crew I-IV level, with clear growth pathways available.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent AND at least three (3) years of experience of related experience; OR any combination of education and experience that results in the applicable skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Willingness to work hard, learn quickly, and prioritize safety every step of the way
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs., operate forklifts/equipment, and work both indoors and outdoors
  • Extremely organized and able to manage the logistics of multiple duties with professionalism and strong communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization, work effectively with all levels of employees and management, and assist in providing solutions to challenges that arise.

  • Fabricates parts and helps develop PM/PSM procedures (Crew III)
  • Proficient in 2+ trades (e.g., electrical + mechanical) (Crew IV)
  • Can program VFDs and troubleshoot control voltages (12-24v) (Crew IV)
  • Installs/wires new equipment and works without labeled schematics (Crew IV)
  • Develops and improves CMMS systems and PMs (Crew IV)

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across a variety of equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of plant areas, restrooms, and grounds.
  • Safely operate forklifts, lawn equipment, and small engine tools.
  • Work from SOPs, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance work orders.
  • Support teammates across maintenance levels and act as a mentor if in a Lead role.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues to leadership.
  • Support facility upgrades and special projects as needed.
