About The Position

The YMCA facility housekeeping team set the stage for exceptional service by keeping the Y facility clean and inviting. Some of the exciting tasks you will do as a Facility Housekeeping Technician include but are not limited to: Keeps assigned area clean and clear for all YMCA participants, Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, and mopping, Assists in set-up for meetings and/or special events, Monitor and maintain cleaning: storage rooms, offices, kitchen, bathrooms, Assist with laundry functions as needed, Respond to accidents, spills, and other housekeeping emergencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One-year relevant experience
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of performance
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, etc.)
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical capabilities, mixing proportions and use
• knowledge in maintenance and care of finished surfaces

Responsibilities
