About The Position

The Facility Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing facilities and utility systems supporting cosmetic production. This role manages HVAC, purified water, compressed air, electrical, and building systems while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a Related Engineering Discipline.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Manufacturing facilities engineering, Utility system maintenance, or Industrial plant operations.
  • Experience with HVAC systems.
  • Experience with Mechanical utilities.
  • Experience with Electrical systems.
  • Experience with Root cause analysis.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience with Preventive maintenance programs.
  • Facility Management.
  • Operation Maintenance.
  • English language proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer certification.
  • Relevant facility management certifications.
  • Experience in Cosmetics manufacturing, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Food manufacturing and/or GMP-regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations.
  • Knowledge of Validation and qualification processes.
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Energy management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain facility utility systems, including HVAC systems, Purified Water (PW) systems, compressed air systems, chillers and cooling towers, boilers and steam generation systems, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Monitor facility performance and utility consumption.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate corrective and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance records.
  • Ensure facility systems comply with cosmetic GMP requirements.
  • Support equipment qualification activities: IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), PQ (Performance Qualification).
  • Maintain facility-related SOPs and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Support facility expansion and new equipment installation projects.
  • Participate in facility design reviews and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Conduct facility risk assessments.
  • Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive facility reliability and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze utility usage trends and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Implement Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives.
