In this role you will focus on providing installation, daily on‑site support, maintenance of communications and force protection networks and devices at FBI facilities in Northern Virginia area. Under unique circumstances, travel to other location within the United States and internationally may be required. The Electronics Technician will play a critical role in ensuring timely, efficient communications and IT support to hundreds of users in a high-security environment. You will directly contribute to the operational readiness and effectiveness of federal law enforcement operations. The selected candidate will strengthen their expertise in telecommunications and IT service management, federal contract execution, and customer engagement. The candidate will provide telecommunications and IT support for FBI facilities in the northern Virginia area in in support of the FBI’s Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG). Typical day is spent at the FBI facility in Aquia, VA conducting training, installation, maintenance and service support for facility IT infrastructure cabling, security systems, radio systems, and related documentation. The individual will conduct periodic local travel in the northern Virginia area to provide support to outlying facilities.
