About The Position

The goal of the Technician, Electronics is to assemble, maintain, repair, update, and test the electrical components of the inspection robot modules and other equipment to keep the robot fleet operational. At this level, the job holder is familiar with all components of the fleet and able to execute most tasks with little guidance. This person proactively communicates the status of his work and provides feedback on any encountered issues and documents his work as appropriate.

Requirements

  • A technical vocational training apprenticeship or similar education in Electronics is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Electronic Technician role is required
  • Experience in handling measuring equipment (oscilloscope, various measuring devices) is required
  • Has experience in creating appropriate documentation and supporting continuous improvement processes
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English as well as the local language

  • Basic knowledge of Terminal Software (e.g. Tera Term)
  • Basic knowledge of microchip programming
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable Test Equipment (e.g. pressure, temperature test equipment, etc.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of NDT specific software (e.g. PICO, Cassiopeia, Peanut2, Total Commander, CAN monitor, Line Element programmer, and Pendulum software)

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate or equivalent degree (min. two-year) in Electronics or Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Certification to operate forklifts and overhead cranes preferred
  • Experience in an international and culturally diverse environment is preferred
  • Aptitude to learn new technology

Responsibilities

  • Maintains robot components (battery modules, sensor carriers, position measuring wheels, etc.
  • Modifies and reworks robot components according to Engineer Change Orders (ECO)
  • Repairs robot components (battery modules, sensor carriers, position measuring wheels, etc.)
  • Performs and judges functional tests of robot components (battery modules, sensor carriers, position measuring wheels, etc.)
  • Assembles new robot components (battery modules, sensor carriers, position measuring wheels, etc.)
  • Supports failure diagnosis for the Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) team
  • Supports troubleshooting of tool inspection builds for the Maintenance team
  • Other duties as assigned
