Come join our Failure Analysis Lab as an Electronics Technician! We are an inquisitive group, analyzing component failures to determine root cause and prevent future failures for our customers and manufacturing team. We troubleshoot component failures using a variety of methods, ranging from functional testing in our electronics laboratory, to destructive testing in our failure analysis laboratory. If you are a natural problem solver and have a solid electronics background, we would love to have you help us find the root cause of every defect! As an Electronics Technician, a typical day might include the following: Troubleshooting and characterizing electrical and mechanical components based on data sheets and drawing specifications. Developing test methods and techniques for material evaluation under the guidance of an experienced technician or engineer. Training quality specialists as required. Operating measurement equipment such as curve tracers, oscilloscopes, and digital multi-meters. Preparing, conducting, and documenting reliability testing, under the guidance of an experienced technician or engineer. Using x-ray system, scanning electron microscope, XRF instrumentation, and optical microscopes in support of component troubleshooting. Assisting engineers. This job might be for you if: You have a two-year associate degree in electronics technology or related field. You have a working knowledge of analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits. You have a working knowledge of mechanical drawings, data sheets, specifications, and materials. You are familiar with modern test equipment. You have excellent problem-solving skills. You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
