About The Position

Smart Structures is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join their team. In this role, the technician will work with electronic systems, devices, and components, focusing on diagnosing and repairing problems in electronic equipment. Responsibilities include building various types of sensors and control systems, as well as performing and reporting on field installations.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Soldering and component removal/replacement experience.
Basic electronics knowledge.
Applicant must have basic computer skills, Word and Excel.
Applicant must be punctual and detail oriented.
Valid driver's license.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Electronics Training from a technical college.

Responsibilities

Follow the manufacturing procedures with precise detail.
Trouble shoot defective assemblies and develop the process to eliminate defects.
Solder sensors and wires to produce quality assemblies.
Inspect parts and assemblies for defects.
Install and debug sensor packs and cables in the field.
Manage the receiving of deliveries and stocking.
Manage the packaging of deliveries and shipping.
Identify electrical problems using a variety of test equipment.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
Replace conduit and wiring as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
