About The Position

Analyses electrical drawings, specifications and instructions to troubleshoots, repairs and replaces/installs components of normal and emergency power systems (up to 600V). Installs electrical circuits and all types of electrical equipment and appliances including grounding leads, lighting fixtures, life safety systems, and other circuits as needed. Measures, cuts, threads and installs electrical conduits, pulling wiring through conduits, holes in walls and floors. Ensures any conduit penetration through floors or fire separation walls is sealed off with fire retarded sealant. Splices, joins, and connects wire to fixtures, power equipment and components. Mounts motors, transformers, light fixtures into position and complete circuits according to drawings and specs. Weekly test run of emergency diesel generator in coordination with building operators. Inspects lighting system, emergency power system, alarm systems, HVAC system, medical equipment, patient’s electrical devices, etc. Traces, inspects and tests circuits, instruments and faulty operations. Isolates and repairs source of trouble and fault in electrical system and any type of electrical equipment and control devices. Replaces and/or repairs faulty components including switches, sockets, ballasts, light bulbs/tubes and other simple elements of electrical systems. Implement scheduled preventive maintenance program for power equipment such as transformers, breakers, disconnects, capacitor banks and switchgears, HVAC equipment's and devices such as motors, VFDs, controls and sensors, medical gas system, alarm systems, communication system and medical equipment. Keeping work area orderly, clean and safe. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
