Requirements

  • A knowledge of building systems
  • An ability to handle pressure
  • Excellent customer relations
  • Ability to work without immediate supervision
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of Windows based computer systems
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
  • Ability to listen effectively, speak, read and write English clearly to ascertain and document important information.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Ability to follow written and or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work shifts as assigned
  • The individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Requires clear, concise verbal communication using two-way radios.
  • 8 weeks training on building operations and procedures

  • Monitoring Building Systems
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Environmental (Building Conditions)
  • Life Safety
  • Report unusual occurrences
  • Monitoring Surveillance Systems
  • Inform supervisor and building operations technicians of any malfunctioning equipment or control problems
  • Documentation, on a daily basis, including work orders, trouble calls, logs and miscellaneous forms
  • Answering numerous phone calls
  • Tenant request
  • Elevator Trouble calls
  • Building Operations Switchboard
  • Security Issues
  • Constant Radio Communication with all departments
