This position is responsible for leading the direction, completion, and outcome of all assigned building assessment projects and related services in accordance with ASTM standards and/or client specific scopes of work. This requires using knowledge of buildings, construction, and technical standards. This role will discuss the project site with site contact and municipal facilities. The Project Assessor (onsite/field) will be required to travel to client project sites. The role involves conducting client-facing on-site assessments and preparing written reports that accurately describe onsite assessment findings, including Facility Condition Assessments (FCA), energy audits, ADA Assessments, mechanical equipment evaluations, space utilization planning and analysis, and other technical services associated with capital planning of commercial, institutional, and/or municipal facilities. It also involves analyzing previously prepared building condition survey reports, appraisals, and ADA surveys with specialized knowledge. Travel is a significant component of this role, with approximately 30-50% of the workweek spent traveling to client sites across the U.S., often involving back-to-back on-site visits, overnight stays, and occasional weekend travel.
