About The Position
Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is seeking Facility Assistants to join their team in Sedgewick, AB. P&H is a Canadian, family-owned and managed agri-business with over 115 years of history, operating across grain merchandising, flour milling, crop input distribution, and animal feed production with over 80 locations across Canada and global trade links. The Facility Assistant will be responsible for carrying out duties involved in the handling of crop inputs and the overall execution of processes within the crop inputs facility operations.
Requirements
- Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture and/or farming
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
- Must be able to work in environments subject to dust and allergens
- Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a customer service role is a plus
Responsibilities
- Handling, unloading and delivering crop inputs products
- Assisting in warehouse operations: sorting seed, stacking chemicals, transferring bulk product into totes
- Preparing custom application equipment
- Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
- Performing exceptional customer service duties
