About The Position

Pharma Medica Research Inc. is a full-service contract research organization in need of a Facility Assistant to join our team! The Facility Assistant is responsible for the maintenance of the clinic facility and maintain cleanliness in an orderly fashion. The Facility Assistant ensures that any cleaning requirements according to protocol and guidelines are met at Pharma Medica Research Inc. (PMRI).

Requirements

Completion of High School
Excellent communication skills including excellent English verbal and written skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other clinical staff.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license
Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
Knowledge of general repairs

Responsibilities

Servicing study rooms, general areas, staff rooms, bunk bed areas, washrooms, bleeding areas, administrative offices, general interior building, and entire building entrance and exit ways including emergency exits.
Sweeping and damp-mopping floors.
Vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets.
Dusting furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Moving furniture as required.
Removing obvious finger marks and smudges.
Spot cleaning light switches, walls, and doors.
Damp-wiping telephones with a germicidal agent.
Cleaning and polishing glass doors/partitions and mirrors.
Disinfecting all fixtures and sinks in kitchen and washrooms.
Removing garbage to a designated area for disposal.
Performing cleaning duties in clinic and office areas including washrooms (vacuuming, dusting, garbage removal, sweeping, damp mopping).
Making necessary repairs as requested by the supervisor.
Placing recycling waste in the appropriate area.
Damp-wiping heaters and ledges.
Dusting all low and high reach areas.
Damp-wiping tables, chairs, desks, and leather sofas.
Maintaining the supply room in an orderly fashion.
General building maintenance including repairs and painting.
Clearing snow and providing salt at all doorways during winter weather.
Performing other duties as required.
