About The Position

The Facilities Worker maintains the cleanliness, safety, appearance, and proper functioning of the Old Orchard Beach Corps facilities and grounds. The position provides routine cleaning, room setup, and light grounds care so the property is ready for worship services, ministry programs, community activities, and special events.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move supplies, furniture, and equipment as required.
• Ability to safely operate common hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with staff and volunteers.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Custodial, facilities, maintenance, or landscaping experience, including seasonal work in Maine.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, or building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of the Corps building, Tabernacle, Seaside Pavilion buildings, and grounds.
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, and repair needs to the supervisor.
• Clean and sanitize common areas, offices, kitchens, and restrooms, and replenish supplies.
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, and rooms for worship services, meetings, and events.
• Perform seasonal outdoor maintenance, including raking, trimming, and basic landscaping.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
