About The Position

Micron Technology is seeking a Facilities Technology Transfer (FTT) Engineer to join their Engineering team in Boise, ID, USA. The FTT Engineer is responsible for providing facilities engineering planning and support for the deployment of technology transfer from Micron’s Technology Development Fabs to Micron’s High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) facilities. This includes analyzing production tool utility requirements, new technology utility requirements, and First of a Kind (FOAK) materials, processes, and tools that may impact facilities, safety, and/or the environment. The role requires ensuring engagement with manufacturing during technology transfer and pushing out facilities requirements for upcoming technology transfers. The FTT Engineer will work independently with minimal direction, complete projects in a timely manner, and achieve set objectives and goals.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Data Science, Engineering, Semiconductor, or related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience with facilities engineering
  • Proven experience in facilities engineering and/or technology transfer
  • Sophisticated PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, PPT, SAP, Autodesk and coding programs
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of data science methodologies: Data collection, preparation, modeling and reporting
  • Experience or knowledge in one or more scripting, programming, and visualization tools (Python, Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Suite)
  • Experience using digital tools, data analytics, and AI-enabled technologies to improve engineering efficiency, support technical decision-making, and enhance operational performance
  • 5+ Years of experience within the Semiconductor Industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute technology transfer plans, ensuring the successful integration of new facilities technologies and processes.
  • Partner with Facilities, Industrial, and Planning Engineers to develop tool utility databases, templates, and utility matrices that support technology transfer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize facility systems, enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve transfer execution.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate key program metrics, including utility capacity, transition costs, and performance-to-plan measurements, to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain systems, tools, and applications that improve communication, data collection, reporting, and information sharing throughout the transfer process.
  • Provide engineering support to identify and resolve technical challenges, ensure safety is integrated into all transfer activities, and maintain compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Partner with Technology Development and High-Volume Manufacturing teams to assess process changes, define facilities requirements, and support future technology introductions.
