About The Position

Carlex is seeking a Facility Technician to join our 1st shift team. This role involves carrying out repairs to all types of equipment and facilities in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The technician will troubleshoot defective equipment, complete daily walk-through inspections, and perform preventative maintenance. This position also requires tracking time through work order completion, assisting with production process issues, and maintaining clean work areas. Communication with supervision, staff, and operators regarding maintenance status is crucial, as is promoting a team environment and adhering to safety policies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
2 Years in Industrial Maintenance
Work an 8-hour shift from Monday-Friday

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree in a maintenance or technical field preferred

Responsibilities

Carry out repairs to all types of equipment and facilities in a safe, timely and professional manner
Troubleshoot defective equipment in order to isolate causes and make repairs
Follow instructions given by Facilities Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor
Complete daily walk-through inspections on facility equipment
Complete run time and down time PM’s on equipment in assigned areas
Track time through work order completion
Assist with troubleshooting production process issues as needed
Keep all work areas clean and tidy – including tools & tool box
Update supervision, staff and operators, both verbally and via written reports, on the status of equipment maintenance issues
Promote a team environment
Work in a safety-first manner while adhering to all LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space and Environmental policies
Respond to internal & external customers in a timely manner
