About The Position

Ensures uninterrupted supply of utilities and key building mechanical systems to the plant facility and administrative building. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all types of machinery and systems to include well water, natural gas, boilers, chillers, fire, supply fans, exhaust fans, air compressors and air handling systems. Monitors indicators for facility management system, performs reactive and proactive maintenance to prevent the breakdown of critical equipment. Manages small projects overseeing outside contractors and vendors ensuring code compliance, on time completion within approved budget.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Formal training in HVAC, boiler safety, blueprint reading, and applied mathematics
  • 4+ years of hands-on manufacturing and maintenance experience in mechanical and facility systems
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
  • Working knowledge of computer systems (Windows, internet tools, and maintenance software environments)
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with technicians, engineers, supervisors, and procurement
  • Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences to drive results
  • Self-motivated professional who leads with integrity, embraces learning, takes initiative, and consistently seeks opportunities to improve processes, strengthen team performance, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair facility and production equipment while leveraging SAP to prioritize work, manage preventive/predictive maintenance, and ensure accurate documentation—keeping operations running safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize statistical tools, condition-based monitoring, and risk-based reliability methods to analyze performance, improve systems (chillers, water treatment, EMS), and continuously enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Support new equipment installations (including rigging/seismic), lead small-scale facility and energy projects, provide technical expertise, manage vendors and procurement, and ensure all systems meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to long-term facility planning, develop maintenance programs and documentation, train technicians, and drive continuous improvement initiatives through collaboration and leadership within daily management systems.
