About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing general preventive maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility. This includes completing and documenting work orders for regulatory compliance, and utilizing various materials such as wood, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites for installations like glass windows, ceiling tiles, and medical hardware stations. The role also involves general outside maintenance duties, including mowing lawns, weeding, raking leaves, trimming bushes, snow removal, and ice control. Additionally, the technician will handle minor plumbing repairs, such as replacing faucets, toilets, and flush valves, and perform decorative applications to walls and ceilings, which includes scraping, sanding, filling, masking, and applying paint or wall coverings according to manufacturing specifications. The technician is expected to maintain a safe and clean environment and work collaboratively with a team.

Requirements

• 1 years general building maintenance experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs general preventive maintenance and repair of various areas around the facility
• Completes work orders, documents appropriate information on completed work and/or documents the status of equipment in order to maintain appropriate records for regulatory agencies
• Utilizes materials (wood, metal, concrete, plastics, composites) to fit and install glass windows, pictures, ceiling tiles, perimeter rail systems, wood trim and moldings, medical hardware stations, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and other projects
• Performs general outside maintenance (mowing lawns, weeding, raking leaves, trimming bushes, snow removal and ice control tasks (shoveling & salting)
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and replacements of faucets, toilets and flush valves
• Performs the decorative application to walls, ceiling and other structures which includes scraping, sanding, filling holes and cracks, removing /replacing outlet and switch covers, masking and applying paint or wall covering to surfaces based on manufacturing specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
