About The Position

Guardant Health is seeking a talented Facilities Technician capable of performing various types of maintenance and repair activities. This role is responsible for general office maintenance, including moving furniture, repairing building equipment, ordering office supplies, and hanging whiteboards. The position reports to the Sr Manager of Facilities and requires availability to work onsite Tuesday-Saturday from 10am - 6:30pm.

Requirements

High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent of experience required
Minimum 3-4 years of facility work experience
Good communication skills and detail oriented
Ability to handle overtime tasks assigned and on call for emergencies
Demonstrates a strong work ethic
Ability to multitask
Good attention to detail and delivers top quality work
Flexible and adapts to change positively
Strong communication skills
Team player

Nice To Haves

Five years of related experience and/or training preferred
Experience with BMS
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems

Responsibilities

General maintenance of office
Handling of the hazmat waste
Set up the kitchen every morning
Record and inspect generators weekly
Inspect fire extinguishers once a month
Inspect eye wash and showers weekly
Ordering office supplies
Ergonomic Assessment
Open to accepting new task /project as needed
Vendor management
Office move, add, and change coordination
Uses power tools, calibration equipment, and other small hand tools to repair equipment
Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned
