About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the building infrastructure and systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility operations. The Facilities Technician will ensure that the building is functional, safe, and well-maintained, handling both routine maintenance and emergency repairs as needed. This position is critical to ensure the smooth operation and safety of our facility. This role requires proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical labor as required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Technical certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, fire safety equipment, and general infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of building systems and equipment, following scheduled intervals.
  • Manage general upkeep of the building, including painting, carpet replacement, floor care, and other tasks that ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment.
  • Ensure that the facility adheres to safety standards and regulations, including fire safety, emergency exits, and hazard prevention. Report all safety issues immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and any other relevant facility information.
  • Assist with the management and inventory of tools, equipment, and materials used in facility maintenance.
  • Work closely with other departments, including operations and security teams, to address facility-related concerns and improve overall building function.
