About The Position

Velocitor Solutions is a mobility solutions software development company with an 80,000+ square foot facility that houses our Development and Project Services teams, Support Center, Warehouse, Fitness Center, Café, and multiple employee collaboration spaces. We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to serve as our primary Facilities Technician during the 3rd shift Monday through Friday. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our building during non-traditional business hours. The successful candidate will be a hands-on professional who enjoys a variety of work and is comfortable performing everything from repairing walls, replacing light fixtures, painting, and pressure washing to assisting with housekeeping and facility cleanup as needed. The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, consisting of four (5) eight-hour shifts with a one-hour unpaid meal break.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, custodial services, or a preferred related field.
  • Working knowledge of general building maintenance procedures and repair techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.
  • Experience operating common hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable attendance and flexibility to respond to occasional facility emergencies outside of scheduled hours.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pressure washing and general facility upkeep preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas, restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, and employee break areas.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, clean windows, empty trash, and perform other housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Inspect the building, equipment, and facility systems to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Perform general building maintenance, including repairs to walls, doors, windows, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and other facility components.
  • Replace light bulbs, ballasts, ceiling tiles, and other building fixtures as needed.
  • Complete painting, pressure washing, and minor carpentry projects to maintain the appearance of the facility.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance activities to minimize equipment failures and facility issues.
  • Assist with exterior building maintenance, including litter removal and basic groundskeeping.
  • Support facility setup and cleanup for meetings, company events, and special projects.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and notify the Facilities Supervisor when replenishment is needed.
  • Operate tools and maintenance equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related requests while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Assist in other facility-related duties as assigned.
