About The Position

The Shore and Country Club is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the Club's buildings, grounds, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for members, guests, and employees. The Facilities Technician performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility improvement projects while helping to maintain the Club's high standards and appearance. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a strong maintenance background who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and improving facilities. This is a full-time, year-round position that requires availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays during the season.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–4 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or related experience
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniques
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment and systems
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Positive and professional demeanor with members, guests, and staff
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. (with assistance or equipment as needed)
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours during the season
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and occasionally noisy environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a club, hospitality, residential, commercial, or recreational environment is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Club buildings, facilities, and equipment.
  • Complete work orders efficiently and in accordance with Club standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical issues.
  • Perform interior and exterior painting, patching, and touch-up work as needed.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and seasonal maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain HVAC, lighting, doors, locks, fixtures, and other building systems.
  • Inspect facilities regularly and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of events, furniture, equipment, and seasonal amenities.
  • Operate, maintain, and properly store tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all Club safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist other departments with operational and maintenance needs as assigned.
