About The Position

Responsible for assisting in all mechanical areas of club facilities maintenance in order to keep the club functioning at top efficiency. This role involves a wide range of duties to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of the club's facilities and grounds.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and cooperative skills.
  • Positive interpersonal, customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certifications preferred but not required.
  • Plumbing certifications preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and makes general repairs to building maintenance and upkeep, including but not limited to plumbing, light fixtures, furniture, woodwork, appliances, alarms, elevators, heating and ventilation systems, draining, pumping, and building structures.
  • Maintains the clubhouse grounds, parking lots, swimming pool and other recreational areas.
  • Pressure cleans the club and surrounding areas.
  • Assists in keeping the workshop area safe, clean, neat, organized and well-lit.
  • Ensures that all refuse is properly removed from the clubhouse and its premises.
  • Replenishes supplies such as ice, paper good and equipment when necessary.
  • Assists with the preparation of special functions, parties, tournaments, etc. including installing decoration, constructing display pieces, setting up chairs and tables.
  • Cleans and maintains the boat docking area.
  • Under direction of the Director of Maintenance Facilities, assists Members with requests as they apply to Facilities.
  • Maintains The Moorings Yacht & Country Club commitment to member satisfaction while performing job duties.
  • Exhibits and practices professional and courteous behavior while interacting with Members, their guests or other employees.
  • Complies with all rules, regulations and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and/or established by the Board of Governors.
  • Adheres to the Club’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • Must be cognizant of the rules and regulations of the facility for the safety and welfare of the staff and members.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines.
  • Adheres to all stated policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to appearance standards consistently.
