About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility infrastructure and support systems within a manufacturing plant. This role ensures building systems, utilities, and production support equipment operate safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
2+ years of facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems (120V–480V), plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, electrical distribution, and lighting.
Maintain and repair building infrastructure such as doors, docks, floors, walls, and roofing systems.
Monitor and maintain utility systems (boilers, chillers, air compressors, water systems).
Troubleshoot facility-related mechanical and electrical issues impacting production.
Support installation and relocation of manufacturing equipment.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations.
Maintain facility maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation.
Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs and inspections.
Assist with emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
Participate in continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.
