About The Position

This role involves conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining maintenance records, assisting senior technicians, and ensuring safety compliance. Responsibilities also include general building maintenance such as patching and painting walls, building and repairing furniture and cabinetry, repairing door hardware and flooring, moving equipment, and setting up meetings. The position also entails light plumbing tasks like faucet/fixture repair/replacement, air hose fabrication, and piping system repair/installation. Grounds maintenance to beautify the exterior and landscaping, light HVAC tasks such as replacing belts and filters, adjusting thermostats, and cleaning coils, and light electrical tasks like replacing bulbs, ballasts, and electrical switches and outlets are also part of the duties. Additionally, the role requires inspecting, maintaining, and testing life safety systems like emergency lights, fire extinguishers, and exit signs, and conducting routine property inspections to report deficiencies.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery following standard operating procedures.
  • Identifies and resolves straightforward mechanical problems using established methods and tools.
  • Documents maintenance activities and updates logs to ensure accurate tracking of work performed.
  • Supports experienced mechanics by providing assistance during complex maintenance and repair projects.
  • Follows safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment during all maintenance activities.
  • Prioritizes and responds promptly to urgent maintenance and safety issues.
