About The Position

Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG) is a 280-acre sports and entertainment venue in Mesa, Arizona. Facilities Technicians support guest services by maintaining the facility, grounds, technology, systems, and equipment so they remain operational. They help guests and athletes feel welcome and work with team members to care for AAG’s grounds, buildings, and equipment, contributing to memorable guest visits.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of maintenance experience or trade school certificate(s) in electrical, plumbing, or maintenance.
• Some skilled trades experience, such as HVAC, refrigeration, painting, carpentry, or drywall.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and scissor lifts.
• Ability to operate power tools such as drills, saws, and nail guns.
• Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate golf carts and equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift 25–50 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, reach, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods, including maneuvering on ladders, stairs, and roof access.
• Ability to work for extended periods in extreme weather conditions and in high- or low-temperature indoor or outdoor environments.
• Ability to tolerate moderate to loud noise levels and busy environments.
• Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
• High level of self-awareness, receptivity to change, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance and repair tasks as directed by Facilities Management.
• Monitor the operation and proper use of equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues throughout the venue.
• Answer and respond to maintenance assistance calls.
• Monitor the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with guests and associates.
• Assist with additional duties and events as needed.
• Move, set up and take down, clean, and prepare courts, and perform other physical tasks related to sports and event setup.
