About The Position

Harmon, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician I to maintain, service, and perform minor repairs on buildings and equipment. This role involves a variety of semiskilled duties in painting and plumbing, with an opportunity to develop knowledge of common mechanical systems such as fluid control, hydraulics, pneumatics, gas, vacuum, heating, cooling, welding, and conveyance. The position works under close supervision while developing foundational skills and providing entry-level maintenance support.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
0-2 years of related experience
Ability to work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions.
Valid driver’s license (as required by site).
Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices.
Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools to maintain and repair equipment.
Ability to follow blueprints.

Nice To Haves

Vocational training or certification in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
Forklift or aerial lift certification.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Always follow safety procedures, including lock out-tag out and confined space.
Common area and event waste removal, floor cleaning, lighting issues, furniture setup and clean up.
Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on shop and office equipment/appliances.
Assists in performing preventative Maintenance such as troubleshooting and repair of production and facilities systems.
Develop knowledge of equipment, procedures and mechanical systems.
Accurate documentation of work completed and related findings.
