About The Position

As a Facilities Technician 1, you will play a vital role in supporting the operation, inspection, and maintenance processes of assigned facilities, working collaboratively with the operations team, facilities team, and third-party vendors. Your expertise will ensure the proper maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, directly contributing to efficient client occupancy and operations. You will be responsible for performing inspections and repairs on property interior and exterior areas, as well as assisting with general interior maintenance tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work
  • Strong customer service skills with a dedication to delivering exceptional service
  • Basic knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance processes
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as 360 Facility or Corrigo
  • Vision abilities necessary for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
  • Familiarity with working in mechanical/equipment rooms and around heavy equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work with a strong customer service mentality and presence, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while working effectively with clients and vendors
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, promptly reporting any conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
  • Carry out general interior maintenance tasks, such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and fixing doors
  • Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, responding to requests to move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials
  • Update work order status in real time utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) like Corrigo, and escalate problems or issues to the customer and manager in a timely manner
  • Comply with all safety procedures, ensuring good housekeeping and a safe work environment while recognizing and proposing methods to eliminate danger and safety hazards
  • Complete necessary Hazard Assessments, attend work and safety meetings, and maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws
