About The Position

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is seeking a dependable, quality-focused Facilities Tech / Porter to join their progressively growing team at Pulaski Heights, a community comprised of 101 apartment homes for SENIORS. The Tech/Porter is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and/or Facilities Director and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise. This is an entry-level tech position with janitorial duties and light maintenance, upholding the community to the highest standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of janitorial experience.
Must report to work at regularly scheduled work hours.
Must have the physical capability to walk the property (including stairs) and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.

Nice To Haves

Maintenance experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Sweep/vacuum all public areas, stairways, halls, laundry rooms, building entrances, and trash rooms daily.
Wet mop/vacuum public areas of all buildings three or four times a week, depending upon usage and appearance.
Dust and wet rag clean washers and dryers in laundry rooms once a week; remove empty soap boxes and other trash daily.
Dust all light fixtures, including hanging globes and wall-mounted globes weekly and clean of insects, etc., once a month. Replace light bulbs as needed.
Clean mailbox fronts and public walls or halls once every month, and scrub trash room walls, including trash door areas, monthly.
Clean, treat, and service the pool according to the schedule issued by supervisor.
Pick up trash on grounds and in common areas daily or more often as necessary.
Report and replace missing light bulbs, building damage or vandalism, unusual circumstances and conditions, and other related incidents, in writing, to their supervisor.
Work with the Directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Facilities Director.
Satisfy work orders promptly and efficiently.
Assist in the make-ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
Adhere to all company policies, including safety practices.
