About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic will work under limited supervision and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics, and locally generated instructions. This role involves a variety of tasks related to facilities maintenance, equipment installation, and repair.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior maintenance or related experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior maintenance or related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Considerable knowledge and understanding of service and installation processes of industrial equipment.
• Ability to plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, construction, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Qualification for respirator and breathing air devices and work on fire/rescue teams.
• Continued education in a maintenance discipline and cross training into other disciplines within the department will be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform facilities maintenance duties, including Carpentry, Flooring, and Sheet Rock work.
• Install new equipment.
• Repair HVAC equipment, perform general Electrical Maintenance, Production machinery upkeep/repair/maintenance, general welding, millwright activities, or carpentry.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and electro-mechanical and mechanical work.
• Perform general shop upkeep, cleaning, and organizing.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Possess a valid state-issued Driver's License.
