About The Position

McKesson is seeking a Facilities Support Technician to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of our distribution center facilities and automation equipment. This role performs routine inspections, minor repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and general facility support to help maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and facility teams to address maintenance needs, support equipment uptime, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 1+ years of related experience
  • Experience performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, or basic repair work.
  • Ability to safely use common hand tools and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience using email, work order systems, or maintenance tracking software.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification, vocational training, or coursework in maintenance, facilities, mechanical systems, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, or automated facility environments.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing maintenance inventory, supplies, or spare parts.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine facility and equipment inspections to identify maintenance issues and support preventive maintenance activities.
  • Respond to facility service requests and complete general maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, lighting replacements, spill response, and workspace adjustments.
  • Support the operation and functionality of automation systems and associated equipment by identifying and escalating maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and inventory documentation.
  • Assist with facility projects, inventory management, and emergency response activities while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
