About The Position

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Support Technician is responsible for supporting the overall cleanliness, safety, functionality, and maintenance of the Penny Lane Centers (PLC) facilities across multiple locations. This position performs routine building maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and facility cleaning duties based on operational needs. The Facilities Support Technician is expected to regularly travel between assigned office and program locations and must be able to adapt to changing schedules, locations, and work assignments. While the position directly reports to the Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Support Technician may also receive day-to-day direction and task assignments from the on-site manager or supervisor at the assigned location. This position requires reliability, punctuality, professionalism, flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • No college education required.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in maintenance and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
  • Basic computer skills, to access the Payroll/HR on line system for payroll related activities, and Microsoft Outlook, in order to access emails related to the position.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Current automobile insurance.
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company.
  • Must have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.
