About The Position

Flex is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Facilities Maintenance team. The role ensures the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of building systems, utilities, and infrastructure across the Flex Columbia manufacturing campus. This position involves direct supervision of maintenance personnel, contractors, and service providers, while also supporting facility improvement projects, preventive maintenance programs, operational excellence initiatives, and regulatory compliance. The Facilities Supervisor is crucial for maintaining uninterrupted support for manufacturing operations by ensuring facility systems (electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, fire protection, building infrastructure) are maintained to company standards and applicable codes. If Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment spins off as planned in Q1 2027, this role will support the new entity, SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure and power/thermal management solutions for AI data centers and mission-critical applications.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of facility or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing electricians, maintenance technicians, contractors, and service providers.
  • Experience with industrial utility systems and facility infrastructure.
  • Technical Knowledge: Electrical power distribution systems (480V/277V, 208V/120V), HVAC and building automation systems, Compressed air systems, Fire alarm and fire suppression systems, PLC-controlled equipment and industrial controls, Preventive and predictive maintenance programs, CMMS systems, OSHA and NFPA requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and direct daily activities of Facilities technicians, electricians, plumbers, and contract personnel.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to facilities team members.
  • Ensure work assignments are prioritized and completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Conduct shift handoffs, team meetings, and safety briefings.
  • Support employee development through training, mentoring, and skills assessments.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee maintenance and operation of electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, plumbing systems, fire alarm and fire suppression systems, emergency generators, building automation systems, and production support infrastructure.
  • Monitor facility performance and respond to equipment failures, emergencies, and utility disruptions.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Review and approve work orders for quality and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, environmental regulations, Flex safety policies, Lockout/Tagout requirements, and electrical safety programs.
  • Conduct routine safety audits and facility inspections.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and required records.
  • Support emergency preparedness and business continuity planning activities.
