About The Position

The Manufacturing Team Lead is responsible for supporting daily production operations within the solar panel manufacturing facility by coordinating workflow, assisting production employees, and ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role serves as a point of contact between operators and supervisors while promoting teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations.
Familiarity with quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and tools safely.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with production reporting systems.
Leadership and teamwork skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree or vocational training in manufacturing or related field preferred.
Previous experience in a leadership or team lead role preferred.
Experience in solar panel manufacturing, electronics, or automated manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and support production employees during daily manufacturing operations.
Assist in coordinating workflow and production activities to meet daily production targets.
Monitor production lines to ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Train and coach manufacturing operators on production processes, equipment operation, and company policies.
Support supervisors in monitoring employee performance, attendance, and productivity.
Assist in troubleshooting minor production and equipment issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
Ensure proper material flow and workstation organization throughout the manufacturing process.
Promote and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and PPE requirements.
Maintain accurate production records and shift documentation.
Communicate production updates, operational issues, and shift priorities to team members and supervisors.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing activities.
Assist with line changeovers, startup activities, and process adjustments as required.
